    E-Learning Overview for Parents and Guardians

    2022-2023

     

    An E-Learning Day occurs when in-person learning is not possible due to snow, cold, mechanical failure, etc.

    If in-person learning is not possible, the Superintendent will announce an E-Learning Day as early as possible but no later than 10 p.m. the night prior to the E-Learning day.

    How will parents be notified?

    • Phone, email, and text messages will be sent to the student and parent contact information in PowerSchool.

    • A notice will appear on the homepage of the D94 website.

    • The D94 Facebook page will post an E-Learning announcement.

    • A tweet from the Community HS Dist 94 Twitter account, @CHSD94, will report the E-Learning decision.

    • The “Emergency Closing Center,” available online as well as on local radio and tv stations, will also publicize E-Learning days.

     

     

    What are the E-Learning Expectations for Students?

    1. Login to Google Classroom for each class.

    2. Fill out the Google attendance form for each class by 1 p.m.

    3. Complete the assignments for each class that are posted in Google Classroom.

    4. Submit the completed assignments according to the due date each teacher sets.

    Students do NOT need to login to their Den Google Classroom on an E-Learning Day.

    Attendance will NOT be posted for Den Time on an E-Learning Day. 

    This slideshow explains the E-Learning procedure for students. Teachers reviewed this slideshow with students in their Dens during the first semester.

    Reminders:

    Teachers are available via email throughout the day. Students can email their teacher(s) with questions; however, students should work on other assignments until they receive a reply.

    Clases en Línea WeGo Información General Para Padres o Tutores



    Un día de clases en línea ocurre cuando las condiciones del clima, fallas mecánicas, etc. hacen imposibles las clases presenciales.

    Información de Cierre por Emergencias:

    Si fuese necesario un día de clases en línea, el superintendente hará un comunicado tan pronto como sea posible, pero no más tarde de las 10 p.m. la noche anterior al día de clases en línea.

    ¿Cómo van a ser notificados los padres de familias?

    • Sistema automatizado SchoolMessenger – Teléfono, email, y mensajes de texto serán enviados a la información de contacto basada en los expedientes de cada estudiante en PowerSchool.

    • Centro de Cierres por Emergencias -  https://www.emergencyclosingcenter.com/ Esta información aparece en la mayoría de estaciones locales de radio y televisión.

     

    • Sitio web del D94 (www.d94.org) – Una notificación aparecerá en la sección de noticias de la página principal del Distrito 94.

    • Facebook  - www.facebook.com/WCCHS

     

     

    Expectativas de los Estudiantes:

    1. Ingresar a Google Classroom para cada materia.

    2. Llenar la forma de asistencia a clases de Google por cada materia a más tardar a la 1 p.m.

    3. Completar los trabajos por cada materia que estén publicados en Google Classroom.

    4. Entregar los trabajos asignados de acuerdo a la fecha indicada por cada maestro.

    La asistencia NO se publicará para Den Time en un día de aprendizaje electrónico.

     

    Los estudiantes NO necesitan iniciar sesión en su Den Google Classroom en un día de aprendizaje electrónico.

     

    Esta presentación de diapositivas explica el procedimiento de E-Learning para los estudiantes. Los maestros revisaron esta presentación de diapositivas con los estudiantes en sus Dens durante el primer semestre.

    Recordatorios:

    Los maestros están disponibles por medio de email durante el día. Los estudiantes podrán enviar un correo electrónico a sus maestros con preguntas; sin embargo, los estudiantes deberán dedicar tiempo a otros trabajos mientras esperan una respuesta de sus maestros.
